Copyright Policy

1. Our approach

Temblee is built on creators' work, so we take copyright seriously. Shop owners may only list templates they own or are licensed to share (Seller Agreement Section 3). We respond to notices of alleged infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and comparable laws.

2. Reporting infringement

If you believe a template, preview, or other content on Temblee infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@temblee.com. Your notice must include:

  • your physical or electronic signature.
  • the copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
  • the material you believe infringes it, with its link on Temblee.
  • your name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law and
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

Signed-in users who unlocked a template can also flag it from the template page, using "Copyright / not seller's own work".

3. Designated agent

Notices and counter-notices reach us at legal@temblee.com, which we monitor and act on promptly. We will publish our designated agent's registered details in this section once they are on file with the US Copyright Office.

4. What happens next

When we receive a complete notice, we remove or disable access to the material, including for buyers who already unlocked it, and email the shop owner with the reason. If we uphold the complaint, the shop receives a copyright strike.

5. Counter-notices

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include:

  • your physical or electronic signature.
  • the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  • your name, address, and telephone number and
  • your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which Temblee may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.

We forward valid counter-notices to the person who filed the original notice. Unless they tell us they have filed a court action, we may restore the material after 10 to 14 business days.

6. Repeat infringers

A shop that receives 3 upheld copyright complaints is suspended. We may also suspend or terminate the account of anyone who repeatedly infringes others' rights, including before that limit in serious cases.

7. False claims

Knowingly misrepresenting that material infringes, or that it was removed by mistake, may make you liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
